Our Primary%20Modern%20 Classes

Fun and rhythm oriented, tap dancing emphasises both footwork and upper-body technique.

Tap has evolved and become popularised throughout the world, with a range of possible origins from African Dance, Irish Dance and/or Clog Dancing.

The dancers use their feet to strike the floor, beating out different rhythms, with dancers wearing shoes that have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound.

Tap dance is often seen in theatrical productions.

Deirdre is a fantastic dance teacher who really helped build my confidence from a young age. I loved my time at The Forristal School of Dance and couldn't recommend it enough.
